Bug Category filter is broken

We use Bug Category filter in our project to filter our escaped defects. 2 weeks ago the filter suddenly became unavailable for the project (it says: Bug Category is not applicable for this project and/or Issue type);  if we check for other projects, filter is available, but the options for it are not configured (previously that filter had 3 options).  What could be the reason and can we somehow fix it ourselves?

Hi @Olena Pletnova ,

The project/issue type may not have a custom field context for the field or the global context of the field could have been changed. JIRA admins can check the custom field context and create one for your project with the values, however the values for "Bug category" on the existing issues may be lost when you edit the issue.
