Unable to link APP ID to cloud instance

Hi Team, 

We are trying to add an APP ID to Jira cloud instance, we tried to add it as a user but as it does not have an email ID behind it, it is not allowing to do so.

Our intention is to create an API token in the cloud instance using this APP ID.

Can you please provide us why exactly fo you need to add an APP ID you are trying to add in your Jira Cloud site? Additionally, can please confirm exactly what application you are trying to integrate with Jira?

I must confess that I'm not aware of any ways to integrate Jira using an external APP ID, however, you can generate an API token by following the steps below:

1. Log in to https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens.
2. Click Create API token.
3. From the dialog that appears, enter a memorable and concise Label for your token and click Create.
4. Click Copy to clipboard, then paste the token to your script, or elsewhere to save:
   
   

Note:

• For security reasons it isn't possible to view the token after closing the creation dialog; if necessary, create a new token.
• You should store the token securely, just as for any password.
