Is there a way to find the number associated with a custom built field?
If you mean the custom field id it's the number after cf[
Right that one is a global custom field but the ones below do not show us a number. Is there a way to get that?

For Next-Gen projects, you can get the custom field ID from the API.
Enter this URL, replacing "your-domain" with your site's name:
https://your-domain.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/field
^ Search for your field's name and the ID will be listed under ID / Key.

for custom fields you can go to settings > issues > custom fields, find your field and click on the ellipses at the right and Edit. Once in that screen the URL will expose the id...
for example....
https://xxx.atlassian.net/secure/admin/EditCustomField!default.jspa?id=12957
