Can I prevent the strikethrough appearing from cloned issues by clearing resolution?

If I clear the resolution field when an issue is reopened in Jira Cloud will that prevent the strike through from appearing on cloned issues? I just complete this activity, but some stories that were cloned already still have the strike through appearing.

Can someone help with this issue? Because of our workflow, we need to clone stories that were completed, and reassign them back to another team in the following sprint. Because the stories were completed by another team and are cloned the strike through appears and is causing some confusion.

yes you can. you can use a post function in the workflow to clear that field.

Hi Alissa,

Create a looping transition on the Done on the Backlog status (or whichever status has the issue in it).

Then put a post function on that transition to Clear the Resolution field.

You might want to also add a post function to Clear the Resolved field if it has a value in it (it's a date field).

Jira has a bug right now that they are working so it won't keep happening. But not sure of when there will be a fix. So you might have to periodically run the transition.
