Filters on Dashboard Don't Eliminate "Done" Entries

I set up filters on a dashboard using labels to display different areas of work, but they don't seem to be updating once the tasks are finished. I tried refreshing and hitting "Done" through the filtered results on the dashboard itself, but the done tasks are still appearing. What should I do to make the results accurate?

Hi Colleen! The results displayed on a gadget reflect the filter that defines the gadget. If you want to exclude done issues you might wish to include the following in the filter...

AND statuscategory != done

if you can provide more details (exact filter, statuses, whether you are setting Resolution, etc.) I might offer a different method.

ok so for the Activity Stream you see that a comment was made 8 minutes ago. I don't use Activity stream much TBH but my understanding here is that there is no way to filter out any activity on done issues. Now, one would think that once an issue is Done any activity would die off pretty quickly. However, if someone comments on a Done issue then it will certainly display and likely you would want it to.

Now for the Filter results gadget, you need to go to the filter that is associated to this gadget and add the snippet of JQL I provided above if you don't wish them to show.
