Display time spent in hours instead of days

Question

Is there a way in a JQL query to display "time spent" in hours instead of says? I tested an example that had 8 hours of work and it displayed in the query as 1 day. so for something like 3 days 9 hours I'd like to see it as 45 hours.

Hello @Dennis_H

You can only change the global displaying of the time spent field, so the field will display with the same format in all the views of Jira.

As a workaround, you can export your JQL to a CSV file, where you can edit the format of the time spent field as you need using a spreadsheet software.

You can follow the steps below to change the format that the time spent is displayed in your JQL queries and issue view:

* Click at the cog icon at the top-right of your Jira application > Issues > Time Tracking
* Click to Edit global settings, changing the format of the "Time display format" to hours:

P.S: The same format will also be applied to the Time estimate and Remaining estimate fields.
