Customize fields shown in swimlane view

Sabina Alistar

Is there a way to customize which fields are shown for the swimlane, when grouping items in a board by Stories?

It would be helpful to display the Epic field for the parent task, so it's visually clear which Epic it is part of. Right now, you can only see type, issue id, status, number of sub-tasks, and summary.

Hi @Sabina Alistar

There is no way to do this currently.  There are many related suggestions to add this feature.  Here are some of them, which you can review and vote for if you wish.

• When a Swimlane is based on Stories or Epics the sub-tasks should also display the Epic Link field as their parents issue does  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-69439
• Epic swimlanes should display Issue Type and Issue Key  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-11631
• Epic link label visible on story in Active sprints (Work mode) when using story swimlanes  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-11810
• Story swimlanes to display epic link  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-15015
• Add Epic label to stories swimlane  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-16583
• Disable 'Show epic labels' when the Swimlanes is based on Stories.  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-16895
• Jira Software classic boards settings - Swimlanes set by Epics displaying Epics not listed on the board filter.  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18850
• Display Epic Status in Kanban Swimlane  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18746

Best regards,

Bill
