Automation - trigger a job in Jenkins based on Jira activities

Question

We configured Web-hooks to trigger a job in Jenkins but it is not working with JIRA Cloud. I understand that plugin only supports the integration between Jenkins and Jira Server, not Jira Cloud.

Is there a way to trigger a job in Jenkins based on Jira activities (e.g. changes such status, comments)?

I'm not familiar with these apps you listed,  in my previous comment I sent you how to send an webhook using Automation for JIRA and you would need to know the Jenkins rest endpoint and create the request payload yo match what Jenkins is expecting to receive.

I think you should also look for the app supported by Atlassian, if you find a solution for this issue, please share with the community.

We configured the webhook. We logged a ticket with Atlassian they provided the following guidance. They indicated that JIRA TRIGGER is NOT supported by Atlassian.

You can trigger your Jenkins webhook using Automation for JIRA, this app is available by default in JIRA cloud and you can try it, see below an example:
