How do I select an Epic Name when creating an issue (new generation projects)?

Question

Hi guys,

while creating an issue, I'd like to select the Epic name. Currently I need to create an issue, open it again and can then select an Epic name. There must be an easier way. In old generation projects, this worked...).

I already had a look at the issue types settings and the blog post "Available custom fields for next-gen projects".

The best way to deal with NG epic-child is to create the child issues directly from the epic in Roadmaps. just click the "+" symbol on the epic. This is actually quicker than creating an issue and then associating w/ an epic (2-steps).
