Automation Tagging Incorrectly

Question

Hi,

I have some automation rules triggering according to a CRON schedule which tags users when the issue has been created from the rule.

This worked with no issues the first few times, however it has started to not display the usernames within the issue which is created.

The email notifications have been received and therefore the tagging has worked correctly, but was wondering if there was a way to resolve so those tagged know who has been tagged rather than just seeing the tagged name as 'user'

That is curious as that one works for me.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the info, I've attempted this in a testing rule however it is still displaying as user.

(the second 'tag' shows me attempting different configurations to see the results)

Hi @Russell Tysoe -- Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Try this for JIRA Cloud so the names are displayed rather than "user".  This is an example for assignee.

[~accountid:{{assignee.accountId}}]

After the user/privacy changes, the id is the thing you need to link to the user.
