I am sorry, but you cannot restore the left side navigation. Atlassian has moved everyone to the top navigation only as a permanent change.

I don't mind so much that you have placed the navigation button at the top, but, there is no navigation at the top to issues and boards. In the past the navigation included projects, filters, boards, issues. Now I only have the two -- projects and filters. I think this was a mistake. There is no way to navigate to boards.
