Cannot indent bulleted lists

Question

I cannot figure out how to indent a bulleted list. Any help is appreciated! Consider the following scenario:

Apple

a round fruit with red, yellow, or green skin and firm white flesh. Some of the most
    common varieties include:

- Red Delicious
        - McIntosh
        - Golden (or Yellow) Delicious

I want to create this simple list with the native Confluence Cloud editor; indented lists are a basic feature that every content creator should be able to (and expect to be able to) achieve in their documentation.

well here we are in April 2022, same problem ,resolution on ticket says fixed July 28, 2020, but I'm seeing the same issues with bulleted and numbered items.

Anyone know when this indentation will be fixed?

It seems like an obvious error to me and makes the any documents more difficult to read.

@Diego, indenting lists is a super common editor thing. As is outdenting those same lists. ALL OF THIS existed in the old editor. And yet, we are supposed to vote on tickets (that you guys never re-implement, btw) to beg you to bring *back* standard functionality that you removed. Why on earth would we do that? It looks very silly to have a paragraph indented on the page and then have the list start at the outer edge. Same with the headings! Yes, we can stretch a table the length of the page, but then the headings are slightly center-left above them? How bizarre. Please, please we need the standard editing functions, if nothing else. Or if you can't do that, then standardize everything with markdown or asciidoc and then we will handle it ourselves - like everything else.

What is the motivation behind you all doing this for Cloud? Are you guys just hoping people will be too ingrained (1000's of page sin, for instance) in using Confluence that they are too scared to switch to something else? None of these issues exist in on-prem Confluence. The Cloud product is so far removed from on-prem now, I don't know why they are called the same product. TinyMCE editor includes all of this and is open source. Atlassian can't find a way to integrate someone else's tools, even freebies like TinyMCE editor (The TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor is free forever)? We need standard editing functionality and the ability to make content in parts, like sections or blocks. All of this is in WordPress and other frameworks. We need the stuff you removed back. Even if it's implemented differently, fine. But we need it.
