If you just need to see the information, you can look at the Transitions tab on a ticket. Unfortunately there's no native way to export that information, especially for multiple tickets.
We had a requirement to know how many times tickets fail QA testing, for example. What I did was create a custom field called QA Failures. I don't have it on any of my screens, since we didn't want it visible on the tickets (it is available to use as a column in filters, which is what we wanted and how you can then export the data), but that's up to you. I then used a postfunction to increment the value of the QA Failures field whenever the Failed QA transition occurred. This particular postfunction type was possible with the JMWE plugin, but there may be other ways to do it.
This wasn't super-difficult to implement because 1) we use shared configurations, including workflows, across all of the projects that we needed this information in, and 2) because we only cared about the number of times an issue went from In Testing back to In Development (i.e. because it failed QA.) If you're looking for a way to track every status change, I don't know that this would be efficient, unless you only have two or three statuses.
Hi, @Lilit Harutyunyan.
You can resolve these issues easily with Time in Status for Jira Cloud. This add-on lets you track how many times an issue has moved from one status to another using the Transition Count report. This and other reports from the application (time in status, assignee time, status count, etc.) are available for export.
Also, this tool allows you to monitor all its data as Chart view and Gadget for Jira Dashboard. So you can monitor the effectiveness of the workflow and find bottlenecks in the working process.
Hope, it will be helpful for you.
Hi Lilit,
You can do this with “Status Count” custom field of Enhancer plugin. Status count custom field displays how many times the issue has been transitioned to the specified status
For more information, check out Enhancer documentation: https://confluence.snapbytes.com/display/JEP/Status+counter+custom+fields
I'm one of the folks in Snapbytes. I'd be happy to assist you if you have more questions.

Hello @Lilit Harutyunyan
Jira keeps status transitions in its issue history but does not provide this information (or status durations) as a report.
If you are interested in a ready built solution, our team at OBSS built Time in Status app exactly for this need. It is available for Jira Server, Cloud and Data Center.
Among others, the app contains 2 report types that relate to your question:
The Status Count report type shows you the number of times each status was visited in each issue's workflow.
The Transition Count report show you the number of times each transition was used in each issue's workflow.
Time in Status also gives you reports that show how much time each issue spent on each status or assigned to each assignee. The app also contains 4 different date reports that show first/last dates of entry/exitfor all statuses.
For details about all report types, you can see the following documentation page:
https://dev.obss.com.tr/confluence/display/MD/TiS+Cloud+-+Report+Types
You can calculate averages and sums of those counts/durations grouped by issue fields you select. (For example see the average InProgress time per project and per issuetype). You can also combine statuses into consolidated columns to see metrics like Cycle Time or Lead Time.

Hi @Lilit Harutyunyan ,
You can use Status Time add-on. It generates time spent on each status based on a calendar(7/24 or working hours).
If you are looking for a free solution, you can try Status Time Free.
