How do I move/copy a story from one project board to another?

Question

I was told:  "Since we have a standard workflow and process for all of the projects, we can ‘Move’ a story from one board to another.  You ‘should’ have the ability to do this.  Open the issue, click on the flow-over menu and find the ‘Move’ option to start the wizard to move the issue to your project/board."

However, I am not finding a "flow-over menu nor a "Move" option anywhere associated with the story I want to move/copy.  Please help.

Hi @Ron Kunce

Are you looking at the story from the board? In that case click on the story and click on the 3 dots and choose More Action... and then type in Move.

The steps are mentioned by you are applicable when you view an issue directly.

Finally you can also check if you have the permission to move or not. Your Jira Administrator can check it for you by checking in the permission scheme used in the project.

Hello there! are you able to check the current permission scheme of the project? make sure the project that you has the Move permission - otherwise please check with you're Jira admin if you below to the project role that has the Move permission
