How to add Jira to Slack

Question

I want to know more about adding Jira to Slack to get slack notifications when a new jira task is assigned to me

Joshua Sneed Contegix · Answer

Hi Ryan,

You can always create a webhook in Jira that fires into Slack, but this is fairly limited. Check out the Atlassian Marketplace if you need more advanced functionality. Cheers!

Hi Ryan,

If you type /jira notify anywhere in Slack, you can set up notifications to be notified via the Jira cloud app for when you are assigned tickets.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions
