Unable to find JQL function 'childIssuesOf'

All the references to childIssuesOf talk about "Portfolio" but I believe that is now Advanced Roadmaps.

I have a Plan all built and it is working so clearly Advanced Roadmaps is enabled.

However, in my advanced searches I want to use "childIssuesOf" which does exactly what I want, but I always get the following error:

Unable to find JQL function 'childIssuesOf

OK, well, I had worked on this for like 3 hours and finally gave up and posted here.

In the new versions of Jira with Portfolio built in, the JQL is now

"portfolioChildIssuesOf"

Everything works now!

Hi all, I am having the same problem.

could someone please share a JQL example of how all of it would fit in from project name to finding the child issues?
This is my syntax and it is not working for me... what the hec is a subquery???

project in ("Model Based Systems Engineering", "Thermal Systems", "OCE Autonomous Interiors", "OCE Materials & Sustainability", "OCE Portfolio Epics", "OCE Capabilities") AND issueFunction in portfolioChildrenOf ("project = Vehicle Architectures & Integration Capabilities")
