How to clean up the commits in Jira if we commit and push changes to gitHub with wrong Jira number

Hi team,

Our project uses smart commits and thus we can see commit info in "Development" section of Jira issues when we commit and push changes to GitHub.

How can we manually delete the commit information in "Development" section? e.g. if we accidentially commit and push a change to GitHub with wrong Jira issue number and we want to clean it up from Jira. Thank you in advance for your help.

You'll need to make the change in github and remove the jira issue from those old commits by ammending with interactive rebase.  with that said, it's probably easier/safer/cleaner to just live with the messy historical commits and avoid tagging incorrect issues in commits going forward.
