Can I assign a used issue type to another workflow?

I have this question.

My users are already using a workflow where with some issue type associated. But now they want one of the issue type to another workflow (both are active workflows in the project)

Can I do it? I think it could be possible, but if they are different I assume that it will required to migrate all issues where its status is different in the new assigned  workflow, am I right??

Hi Rosana,

Yes, you can have a different workflow for every issue type in you the workflow scheme. And yes, it will require a migration when the new workflow is associated with an existing issue type. 

If an issue is in a status that does not existing in the new workflow it is moving to, the system will prompt you to decide which new status to move it to. But be careful, it often defaults to Done.

If the status already exists in the new work flow (for example, Backlog or Done) it will move with no problems.
