Notification Email - Notifcaition Scheme

Question

I would like to create a Notifciation email when a Issue is created and Assigned.

I created a Notification scheme which will send the email from my Atlassian account (by default).  I am unable to leave it blank.

I donot get  Notification when I Assigned Myself to the Issue.  I am using the email account used to login to JIRA.

FYI..I have connected to Gitbucket...I am not sure if this is an issue.

Hi there

I only have Profile/Personal Settings and there I have "Email notifications for issue activities" turned on..I may create another user (with one of my other email accounts and test that.

Hi,

I believe within Jira, users by default do not get notifications for their own changes.  If I understand correctly, I think you want a notification for your own change?  If so, login to Jira, go to Profile (top-right on the screen), and then Preferences.  There is one field named 'My Changes' which is probably set to "Do not notify me".  You can edit that and set it to "Notify me".   After that you should get emails for your own changes.   Hope this helps.
