We have stories within out sprint that should only be assigned to one of the senior developers. So we want to prevent that a medior developer picks up such a story and assigns it to himself. What possibilities do we have?
One way to accomplish this is to create a unique Issuetype and apply theĀ jira.permission.assignable.group to each step/status in the workflow. This will limit the available users in the Assignee drop down. You could also consider limiting who can assign issues altogether under Permissions.
