Next generation project: Cannot find tasks created in Roadmap view, inside Boards

Do the following steps:

. Go to Roadmap view.

. Create Epic

. Create tasks inside the Epic from the side view.

. Go to Board View.

. None of the tasks, nor the epics, show in the boards.

. If I go to Backlog, they are all there. But there is no option to enable them to be active in the board I guess?

 

I am trying to make sense of this but it just doesn't make sense. Can anyone explain it to me? Thank you.

Traditionally, teams that work in a Kanban style don’t use a backlog. If you work in a Kanban style, you can still help your team prioritize upcoming work with a backlog. We call this style of working Kanplan, where your backlog keeps track of tasks that you want to do in the future and cleans up your board’s to-do column.

Therefore, if you want Epic and tasks to appear directly in the board after creation, you need to disable Backlog in Features.
