how to add custom field to all next-gen projects

Question

Hello everyone,

I would like to know, have you maybe any experience to add the custom field to all next-gen projects.

I need it to set some KPI's, but it seems to be impossible - whatever I make, however, I attach it to default screen it's not visible for users and project admins to add it.

Help or kill my dreams that this is possible, please.

Hi Emilia,

Although I really don't want to kill your dreams, I'm afraid this is not possible in next gen projects right now.

There is a feature request in the backlog for it that you can watch and vote for: JRACLOUD-71712.

This functionality IS available in classic projects though.

Dreams killed  :-(

You have to add the same field to every Next-gen project. Which then creates multiple custom fields with the exact same name in your system. Which leads to lots of confusion.

You can vote the feature in the link Walter provided, but not sure when it will show up on their roadmap for a fix/change.
