Large image: bad zoom - preview looks better

Russell Tobin

Hi,

Am uploading a very large png image - 5033 x 7118px

The preview looks fine.

When I click on on the image so I can then zoom in, the quality is worse than the preview and zoom doesn't work because the image appears to have been down scaled from the original image size.

Is this expected behaviour?

Is there a trick to fixing this?

Thanks,

The original image should be retained and embedded on the page so when you zoom that is what you see.  Could it be that the image is taking some time to load because it is so large?
