Issue with icons

We have started using EPICs in our JIRA instance. However, we noticed that icons that we have added for our Issue Types are twice the size of the system defaults. I then resized our icons to be 16x16 but then JIRA just stretches the icon back up to 32x32.

Has anyone come up with a solution to this?

WOW - hadn't noticed yet, but ours is doing it, too!

@Timothy Bassett - Here's the response from support:

"This has been reported already, you can see it in the tickets I will link below.

(JRACLOUD-72393) Issue type icons not showing the correct size on some screens
(JRACLOUD-72125) Custom issue type icons will look bigger than the default ones

From here, you can try the workaround described at JRACLOUD-72125:

The only way to have the custom icons actually match with the default ones in the UI, it would be necessary to have white borders on them as well.

I will also suggest you watch these bugs as all news and updates in regards to this issue will be shared through them."
