Change Radio Button Value on transition

I have a radio button (passed, failed, none) that i want to change to passed on transition A, and failed on transition B. When I add the post script transition to change custom field value I type in "Passed" for the new value, but it does not actually change my radio button. How do I do this?

I also want a date picker to automatically update to todays date on a transition, how do i do this?

Note I do not have nor can have any paid plugins and I have never scripted in JIRA.

Put new transition after "Re-index an issue to keep indexes in sync with the database." builtin transition and it works.

Hi Julia - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can do a transition screen that displays the radio button field on the screen and have the user select the correct value.

Or you can have difference transitions for Passed or Failed as it sounds like you might have. In that case you can put a post-function on the transition to set the value of the radio button.

You can also do a post function to set the date. All of those should be free functions.

You can also use Automation For Jira to do the post functions - it is a free product now as part of Jira.

Thank you for your response. Please forgive my confusion. I do have a Post Function added to my transition, but it requires me to type in my Radial Button selection. Then When I make this transition it does not seem to make the update it keeps leaving it at the "Unknown/Not Reviewed" option. Transition Update Issue Custom Field Function - Jira.png
