Auto Notifications or Administrative Setup of Watchers in Confluence

Question

As administrator, is there a way to set up auto notifications for certain users for when a page is changed in Confluence?

For instance, we would like to have a "group" of users notified via email that a change was made to a page, but do not want to rely on these users to go into the page and set themselves as a watcher.

Hi Selmer,

The only real way to do this is by having users "watch" a page.

For your case, you should create a "dummy user" that has the email list as its email address.

Then, log in as that dummy user and set watches on the pages that you would like to send updates for. You can also "share" pages to any email address, but true notifications on change can only be done through a licensed user with an email address.

(There may be plugins for this, but I couldn't find any on the exchange)
