How do I create a new sub-task with different issue type

Question

I have gone to Jira Settings --> Issue Types --> Sub-tasks and "Add Sub-task issue type". Here I added three different types of sub-task so the list shows: Subtask, Subtask Type 1, Subtask Type 2, Subtask Type 3.

When I go to an existing ticket, and click "Create Subtask", the Issue Type field only shows "Subtask" and the drop down menu says "No matches". Text below states: "Some issue types are unavailable due to incompatible field configuration and/or workflow associations."

How can I get the options of Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 to appear as the Issue Type for these Subtasks.

@HRobbins  In the project,  you must add these issueTypes to issue types scheme in  the project setting.

Hi!

I have defined the three other issue types (listed along with "Subtask") as the Jira admin, see image below:

But they are not showing as options when creating a subtask, see below (drop down menu highlighted in blue only shows option of "Sub-task"
