Issue Collector Reporter no longer automatically set to currently logged in Jira User

Up until recently, our Issue Collectors were automatically matching the Reporter with the email address associated with the currently logged in Jira User. This is no longer functioning as expected. Our Users are now required to enter their email addresses manually in the 'Email' field in order to match the Reporter.

How can we change our Issue Collectors so that they automatically populate 'Email' with the currently logged in Jira User?

As per my knowledge, the user needs to be login on JIRA then access the easy form, in this way user need not to manually type the name and email_id.

You will need to sync your CROWD instance (if it SSO) with both the application JIRA and Confluence, so in this way, user need not to login in confluence to submit the easy form.

All the application (confluence, jira and crowd) must be on the same network then only it will work.

I have the same problem since last month, plus I can't find a easy way to set the email and name fields as required.

The most recent documentation doesn't state that the issue collector has that functionality anymore, so it might have been due to a recent upgrade: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/using-the-issue-collector-776636529.html

Select either of the following:

Always use Issue Reporter — select this option to ensure that the default issue reporter you specify above will always be the reporter of issues created by submission of the Jira feedback form on your website.
Attempt to match submitter email address — select this option if you want the reporter of an issue created by submission of the Jira feedback form on your web site, to be a Jira user whose email address matches the email address specified in the email field of the Jira feedback form.

If the Jira user does not have the Create issues project permission in your Jira project, the default issue reporter you specify above will be used as the issue's reporter.

At least for Jira Server, I assume this is somehow related to the Jira version. On a local test instance, it works fine for Jira Server 8.2.3 while it does not work anymore within Jira Server 8.7.1.
