I have multiple epics, each with multiple stories and subtasks. We track time spent and original estimates at the subtask level.
One of my epics is aggregating the progress and estimates from all its subtasks. When I update time spent or original estimates on a subtask, the aggregate numbers on the epic are updated. Other epics are not doing this and I don't understand what I've done differently with this one epic, but I want all of my epics to do this.
I know there are add ons that can do this, but since I have an epic behaving the way I want without an add-on I'd like to understand how it's done natively.
Does anyone understand how the aggregate time and progress fields work and how I can set up my epics to aggregate the time spent and the original estimate from its sub-tasks?
