If you remove user from JIRA and add again, will they get the data back?

We have some users who uses JIRA very rarely, to save licence cost ,I am thinking to remove them and add them again once they come back so after adding them back will user get his data restored ?

Or is there any feature to pause the access and resume?

Hey Kotresha,

If you remove the user from your Jira Cloud site, they will not be counted to your license. As Joe said, we recommend not to delete the account. It's better to have them deactivated.

* Deactivate a managed account
* Delete your Atlassian account

So If I just remove user in JIRA cloud licence charge/cost will be applied ?

So it's best to always "revoke site access" for users rather than removing them completely?
