I need to be able to 'Cancel' a ticket that was created in JIRA at any point in the workflow.

Hello I was hoping I could get some more insight on how to accomplish adding a canceled resolution to a work flow in JIRA. I want to implement this across all my JIRA projects however I believe I am not looking in the right place? Currently I have gone to JIRA > settings > issues > resolutions > and I only see Done, Won't Do, Duplicate, Cannot Reproduce, Ready For Deployment, and Declined. If I add a resolution called Canceled would that be applied for all my JIRA projects? If that is not the case then how can I go about setting this up across all projects?

Next-gen project doesn't allow you to modify the workflow, so the closed you can get is to set up a new column for cancelled issues on your board, but you will not be able to change the resolution.

Thank you for you response and for the information. I should have been more clear, while I do need the Cancel resolution to be accessible all across my Jira projects, I actually need help with the Next-Gen software settings. I understand the process for the adding a resolution for a Classic software Jira project. However, I also understand that things work a little differently for Next-Gen software Jira projects. Is there another document that might be able to explain how to go about this process but for Next-Gen software?
