Jira Software (Cloud): Unable to see field added to screen

I have been trying to add the field "story points" to an issue type. 

• Everything appears to be mapped correctly in the 'Configure Screen' and 'Field Configurations' pages. 
• From the project settings, when I look at the 'Issue Layout' page, the field shows in the Context fields and it is above the Hidden When Empty line.

I am a Jira newbie and I feel like I am missing something.  Your help is appreciated!!!

Yes go to the Custom Fields section and find the Story Points field. By default at least last time I looked that field is only associated with Epic & Story and possibly another issue type, You will need to add the issue type you are trying to add to the context for that field.
