I was using the classic JIRA (server) in my previous company. There we have used the different symbols to denote the priority.
Now in the new company we have the cloud version of JIRA. Here the priority codes are "dark red" , "light red" , "light yellow" and "green" and the common symbol for all the 4 levels of priority is used as "up arrow" (see attachment).
The problem is that, many people find it very difficult to distinguish between the high and highest ( dark red Vs light red).
And this kind of problem become more severe, if the end user is color blind.
My question is, can we use different symbols ( instead of different colors). Example : left arrow; right arrow, up arrow and down arrow.
Is this kind change can be made by the admin of the subscribing company ? (Example my company).
If that is not possible on the current version of JIRA on the cloud, will the Atlassian company take-up this as a suggestion for improvement ?
