When Person X opens a page in Edit mode, makes no changes, and clicks CLOSE, Confluence saves the person's name with unpublished edits, even though there are no edits.
Of course, the proper way to exit edit mode would have been to "revert to the last published version", but we have thousands of users, and this is not intuitive.
So, when a future editor goes to publish, he gets a message that Person X has outstanding edits, when he actually does not! It is a waste of time to check the whole page for edits that aren't there, or to notify Person X to question.
The close button should automatically revert the page to the last published version if no changes were made.
