Issues not showing in current sprint after status update?

I added a few issues from backlog in current sprint. However, once I updated the status the issues are not showing in the current sprint nor in backlog.

Even though these are visible on dashboard.

 

Also, the issues from previous sprint have been carried foward and are showing in current sprint.

That suggests that your board that the sprint belongs to does not have the current status of the issues mapped into a column.

Issues from previous sprints will carry over into new sprints when the issue is not "done" - Jira defines that as "not in the last column of the board, or having incomplete sub-tasks"
