Hi,
I am looking for an API to fetch cookie for login into Atlassian without entering username and password.
Cookie based authentication was deprecated (https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/jira-rest-api-cookie-based-authentication/) But I have found this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/how-to-make-use-of-a-cookie-to-get-logged-through-the-browser-945106839.html
which provides an alternative. Unfortunately, it is giving login failed on passing correct credentials. Kindly let me know if you solve this problem.
Hi @shanky
I think the best approach would be to have an OAuth autentication instead of using cookies.
It may sound a little frightening at first, but this page can help you with all the details and code samples.
Regards.
Hi @Tiago Machado ,
Thank you for suggesting the OAuth Approach. I am using API tokens for REST API calls. I need cookie to bypass web login on website for some verification purpose.
