Wiring People Field into "Your Work" page

Hey guys, because JIRA we can't assign two people at one task, I'm trying to use "custom people field" in an issue. I have a slight issue with this approach: I can't see where I am assigned to by other people. I can use the search, but it's annoying and cumbersome.

The best solution would be displaying a block on "Your Work" page or something similar (custom page?). So my question is: Can I display a collection of tasks having this field set somehow somewhere?

Sorry, I am new to JIRA configuration, please excuse my lack of lingo and using proper terms.

While you cannot modify “Your work” you could consider creating a “My Work” dashboard that leverages the JQL function “currentuser()” in your filters. This allow the Dashboard to be shared with any logged in user and they will see what is on their plate.

Correct me if i'm wrong from the below understanding on mine

Now you need to have list of tickets where and all your name is being mentioned in it ?
Your name may be mentioned in any part of the ticket , not only in the assignee field?
You have a custom people filed and you want to search it , if it bears your name in any ticket ?

Which among the above of my understanding is close to your requirement ?

great. LMK how it works. I have been using this for years and prefer it over "Your work" as it give me more info and metrics. I use various gadgets to create a "My Activities" dashboard for all my users and it has been well received.
