Chart Created vs Resolved measured in Story Points?

JIRA has a Created vs Resolved Chart which show how many new issues were created and how many issues were resolved.

It would be great to see this chart based on Story Points.  Does such a chart exist?

I'm interested in this because the number of tickets is not an indication of the amount of new work versus the amount of work done.

So we might close 1 ticket worth 15 points, and gain 3 tickets worth 1 point each on a day.  So despite having 2 more tickets at the end of the day than we started with, we have otherwise completed significantly more work than we gained.

This is more what the burn-down / burn-up visualises. 

The basic differences are:

• Burn-down shows how much work is remaining and takes into account additional work on a single line (eg. if I complete 5 points and add 5 points, the line remains flat)
• Burn-up shows how much work has been completed vs the total including additions

The burn-down is limited to showing per sprint though, and the burn-up is a report only available on a board view rather than as a gadget (see JSWCLOUD-15681)

Aside from these options you'd need to consider an app from the marketplace - such as:

• More charts - such as Great Gadgets or Agile Reports and Gadgets
• A custom builder for gadgets such as Universal Gadget for Jira

...or perhaps creating your own
