JIRA is not working on Brave Browser

Hi

My JIRA somehow stopped working on Brave browser suddenly. It was working till date and suddenly it stopped. I tried cleaning the cache, Restarted browser, Restarted my machine but to no avail. Get the following error consistently. It works on other browser like Edge.

Can someone let me know the resolution for the same?

I have disabled all security for Atlassian on my Brave (as attached) and it worked like that always.

Hi Santosh,

I understand you are trying to use the Brave Browser with a Jira Cloud site and you are unable to login.   It seems that something has recently changed here, although I'm still unclear if it was within an application update to Brave, a change to Atlassian's Cloud sites, or possibly some combination of both (I think it's a bit of both). 

Essentially, your browser is missing a cookie needed to log you in, and I believe that Brave's cross site cookie setting is preventing your browser from being able to save that needed cookie.   Since the Jira Cloud domains use an .atlassian.net for your Cloud site, as well as atl-paas.net, cloudfront.net, and id.atlassian.com domains when storing cookies here, I believe that Brave is seeing each of these different domains as being 3rd party cookies.   In a technical sense they are being treated as a 3rd party domain because these are different domains.  However in another sense of these are all Atlassian Cloud utilized domains, they are not truly 3rd parties in the eyes of the Atlassian Cloud services.  

I respect that web users want to prevent malicious sites from tracking them when visiting a legitimate site.  But given the architecture of the Atlassian Cloud today, it just isn't currently possible to handle all the login requests for users from their respective single Cloud domain. 

Either way, another user, Ben Emmons, has found a solution to the problem over in a related thread.  From that thread:

Suggested workaround:

1. go to: https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/profile-and-visibility
2. disable shields
3. go to https://yoursite.atlassian.net/
4. disable shields
5. go to brave://settings/shields
6. Set cookies to 'Allow all cookies'
7. reload https://yoursite.atlassian.net/ (should now be logged in)
8. go back to brave://settings/shields
9. Set cookies to whatever your previous setting was..

This will at least allow Brave to have the cookies needed to let you login now.  You can then turn back on the prevent 3rd party cookies once you have the ones needed to login here.

On a side note, Brave is still not listed as a supported browser in our documentation.  But there is an existing feature request for this added support over in CLOUD-10705 - Please Add Brave Browser to the Supported Browsers list.  I would recommend Brave users watch and vote on that suggestion ticket, it will help Atlasisan to understand the desire of end users to use this browser with our Cloud products.
