Difficulties with REST API

Question

Hello all I'm new to Confluence and struggling a bit with the API. I am trying to run a basic query to get details for a Space but constantly getting 401 errors - I am a site-admin / administrator... What special permissions do I need to be able to access the space via REST? I a using basic auth, calling the following URL: https:///wiki/rest/api/space/ Any help is appreciated!

Hi, basically it's no further than: curl -k -u your_confluence_account -X GET https://example.net//rest/api/space/

Hello, Atlassian has recently deprecated the basic auth for cloud applications because of security reasons. You should try either token or oauth methods.
