Messy comments in Jira

Hi,

Is it possible to format / strip out certain aspects of the comments in Jira?  Please see the example below (and this is only half of the page!).

The signatures are used company-wide, so each ticket ends up with pages and pages of content which needs to be scrolled to find the important part of the issue.

Not OOTB unfortunately. I was just discussing a related topic with Atlassian Support and here is an excerpt that is relevant to your question. 

Unfortunately, it's not possible to natively remove images/signatures from inbound emails as documented in various forms here:

• JSDCLOUD-2090 - Be able to remove images in mail body;
• JSDCLOUD-960 - Allow configuration of Service Desk default mail handler;
• JSDCLOUD-5878 - Remove e-mail signatures from incoming mail.
