Approved users cannot view project on Jira softare

Question

I'm trying to give access to uses a specific project only, but they can only view a project that I haven't given them access to.

I've tried everything, permissions helper which says that they do have permission access, but they still can't view the project.

I've been stuck on this for hours.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you reproduce the issue when using the "Log in as user" feature with their accounts? It's in the User management menu:

How is the permission scheme for the project configured?  Look at the "Browse Issues" permission on the project's permission scheme.  Which users/groups/roles are configured to have that permission?

If you are granting permissions via groups then make sure the user is in the right group.  If you are granting permissions via project roles then make sure they have been added to the role on the project.
