Just what is the keyboard shortcut for inserting a new row in a table? (Confluence Cloud)

I just did a screen-grab of the popup when you hover over the [+] to add a line, and it show [Ctrl] + [Alt] + ↓

However, in my system, this rotates my screen! Please select a keyboard shortcut that is not hooked to something else, or give users the ability to change it!

(NOTE: This is for Confluence Cloud... I already know the keyboard shortcut in Confluence Server [Alt]+↓ ... but that does NOT work for Confluence Cloud)

If Confluence Cloud is truly trying to use the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Down Arrow], then it will NEVER work, at least for Windows 7 or 10 users. In Windows 7 & 10, the keyboard sequence rotates the screen.

There appears to be no answer for this! Maybe someone at ATLASSIAN can confirm this!

Hi Bob,

If you hit the help button in the top toolbar, you'll see a Keyboard Shortcuts option. You can view all of the keyboard shortcuts there!

I don't think it's possible to create your own shortcuts though (it isn't in the server, maybe it is in the cloud version).

That keyboard shortcut is NOT shown on the help screen, only via a very dim pop-up when you hover over the [+] to add a row using your mouse.

In fact, there are no Table-focused keyboard shortcuts shown on the help screen. For this task, it is totally worthless in my opinion.

I'm working in the server so that could be why it works differently for me - not sure how the cloud editor differs from the server editor. However, the documentation Atlassian provides seems to be similar for both.

According to my Keyboard Shortcuts Editor tab, a table row can easily be added by selecting the row, hitting Ctrl + Shift + C & Ctrl + Shift + V. Creating a brand new, empty row doesn't seem to be possible.

Confluence Cloud has a different editor, help screen, etc. (I'm not sure why either.)

In Confluence Server, just use [Alt]+↓ to add a new row (I do it all the time, but have been forced to move to Confluence Cloud, where this no longer works!)

I don't think that ANY of the keyboard shortcuts that are shown in your screen-grab work with Confluence Cloud.

I'm on a Mac, where it also does not work. By trying out all(?) possible shortcut combinations I discovered that [Ctrl]+[Down Arrow] results in a new table row below, regardless of what the help section says.

Additionally; [Ctrl]+[Up Arrow] results in a new row above the selected row.

@kai.hacker --- Those are the keyboard shortcuts for Confluence Server and the Confluence Cloud "Old" editor. The New (aka Fabric) editor on Confluence Cloud has many different shortcut keys that do not match.

Till the time Confluence cloud allows you to change hotkeys, you can disable hotkeys for rotation of the screen in Windows 10 itself.

Right click anywhere on desktop
Select "Graphics Properties"
Select "Hotkeys" section (for my Intel Graphics card I had to select "Options and Support")
Disable Hot Keys (you can also change the hotkeys for screen rotation if you want).

Now you can use Ctrl+Alt+Down to insert row.

[Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Down Arrow] works on Confluence Cloud on my Mac.

Bit of a late response, but adding this in for other folks that might come looking.
