sure...

create a filter search, e.g. "project = myproject"
once you have your filter producing the exact issues you want to add the label to..
use Bulk edit, edit issue
add label and submit

OK Jack, so I want to add Labels to a large number of issues so that I have a way to filter them.

Your answer is to filter them, and then I can add a label to filter them?

That sounds great...but if I could filter them without these labels...I wouldn't need to add the labels ;-)

I cannot find any Bulk-edit when selecting multiple issues. Is this answer obsolete?

Hi @Jonas Stenberg ,

@Jack Brickey's answer is still valid, however the Bulk change option is a bit hidden. When you have a filter open, it's in the three dots menu on the top right like this:
