is there any way to give a name to attachment or rename the attachments?

in the old jira there was a way to name the attachment while pasting it. it was super convenient. is there such an option to give attachment an name when pasting it or renaming the attachment? thank you.

Not natively - if this was a feature I haven't seen it for some time.

There is a suggestion to allow for attachment renaming - see JRACLOUD-25060 - which you could vote/follow.

You might have previously used an app to do this - I would check out what is available on the Marketplace to meet your needs :)

thank you very much. i saw the thread -- it is old :)
previously i used self hosted jira and you could name the attachments while posting.
