What is shared when the option "sharing configuration with an existing project" is selected?

Hi,

this question is actually addressed to Atlassian:
In the course ("Jira administration part 1") in the 8th module ("Creating and Configuring Company-Managed Projects") it is said that versions and components are also shared if the option "Sharing settings with an existing project" is selected.
Is this true?

Kind regards,

Ben

Hi Ben,

I am not Atlassian, but it does not appear to be true (at least for Jira Cloud) that is copies Components and Versions from the existing project to the new project. It basically is just going to copy schemes. And it does not copy boards either.

Actually, no, it's not going to copy schemes either.  It just sets the new project to use the schemes the one you choose to share with is currently using!
