Hi we use Jira CRM to keep track of our Client contact details etc. We have downloaded the Jira App but can't seem to access the CRM details.
I have also tried adding CRM contacts to a specific task (as suggested elsewhere) but for some reason it won't save.

Welcome. The Jira Apps has limited set of features compare to working through the desktop. Very convenient in the case to check the status of an issue or to comment quickly through the mobile. However, it's not a fully rich application allowing to do all the things you would do on a desktop.
If you adding details in a work item or task, you should be able to enter and save if the permission allows so. I was able to do it on my app which is running on Apple IOS. Try reseting the app or make sure it's on the latest version.
