Is there a reason why these values are different between both environments?
Version ID, Version, Project ID are different between cloud and onprem
Hello @jmata
Can you provide specific examples of what you are referring to with each of those elements?
And why would you expect them to be the same across two different instances?
Hello Trudy,
So we have an internal tool used that references the Version ID, Version fields,
Here is an example of what the data looks like.
Left side is On Prem and right is Cloud.
Note: we are just in the process of migrating to the cloud so it was just noticed.

The Version ID (and Project ID) numbers are assigned automatically by Jira during creation of those entities.
During migration those entities are "recreated" and so they are getting new IDs assigned to them in the Jira Cloud system.
This happens for most entities that have a "name" and instance-wide unique numeric ID in the Jira database; projects, versions, agile boards, dashboards, saved filters, and so on.
