Showing Hierarchy AND Grouping

Henri van der Merwe September 29, 2025

I have been away from Jira for a few weeks, and have come back to a new List view.
However, I recall I could view tasks in its parent-child hierarchy but still Group by Status

It seems this critical feature has disappeared...?  Am I missing something?

Hi @Henri van der Merwe , thanks for your post.

I just went to test this in my test instance and I still see the possibility to see both together, like this

Would you mind uploading an anonymised screen of what you are seeing that is different please?

Cheers

This looks a lot more like the "all Work" view that I can recall - pretty sure my list was simpler with fewer of the columns exposed.  A little bit scared to remove them.

Software project, Team-managed

Any Help will be appreciated.  This change has messed up my whole Project view and workflow that was built around grouping by Status and collapsing into the Task-Subtask Hierarchy.

I wish Atlassian will take some notes from Monday.com in terms of how easy it is to create any number of customised list views....

Hey @Henri van der Merwe

This is working fine on my instance for a company-managed software project. Maybe you can also share the project type along with a screenshot.

SEE IN REPLIES ABOVE.  Software project, Team-managed

Show hierarchy is clearly disabled for Grouping and Filters
