Moving from G Suite to 365

Hi all

We have Jira Cloud and my organization moving from G Suite to Microsoft 365.

Will all my Jira users (Customers in Service Management, and members in Jira Software) remain as they were?

Thanks

If your users are managed through an Atlassian  account and if your users email domain changes then your users will need to update their email address for their Atlassian account. If your instance is set up where the admin is administering the users then as an admin you will be able to do that update. However, if that is not the case then each user must log into their Atlassian account and update their email address.

Hi @rtamam,

To add on, if your organization is moving from G Suite to Microsoft 365, the main thing to watch is indeed whether your users’ email domains or addresses will change. If they do, updating those in Atlassian accounts is necessary, either by the admin or by each user individually.

For the actual data migration (emails, calendars, contacts, and drive files) from G Suite to Office 365, you might also consider automatic tool for better data migration. An automated software move mailbox and drive migration, preserves data integrity, and supports incremental syncs, which can make the transition smoother while you handle the Atlassian side of things.
